Appointments
by telephone, at the reception desk or on-line
If you wish to make or cancel an appointment with any of the doctors this can be done by telephone, in person at the reception desk or online at www.emispatientaccess.com.
To register for the on-line service patients will be required to come along to the surgery with photographic ID.
Please try to make routine appointments a few days in advance.
If you wish to make or cancel an appointment with the Practice Nurse this can only be done by telephone or in person at the reception desk.
Emergencies and urgent cases will be seen the same day if medically necessary but please telephone or let us know early morning if possible.
Appointments are made for ONE Person only. If the consultation is likely to be lengthy, e.g. if it involves several problems, please book a “double appointment”
Evening Surgery
The practice also runs an evening surgery on a Monday from 17:30 by appointment

The health centre has two treatment rooms fully staffed. The nurses are trained in dressings, treatment of minor injuries, ear syringing, blood tests and doing cardiology. An appointment must be made before attending and a card must be given by your GP before attending the treatment room.
Personal Examinations
Female patients are offered a chaperone for procedures such as smears or breast examination. This could be a member of staff e.g. practice nurse, receptionist. All patients may have a chaperone on request.

The doctor and the practice nurse are also available to give telephone advice on a daily basis after surgery. Please contact reception on 0141 451 2830
Cancellations
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. If you fail to keep appointments then your doctor will write to you to discuss this. If you do not attend repeatedly then your name may be removed from the practice list.
We do offer a free text service to remind patients about appointments as well as reminders for health reviews i.e. diabetes, asthma etc.
